Both a Mac and a PC will be available for you to run your presentation from. Please indicate your preferred machine in the title of your presentation file.

Instructions:

  • Powerpoint presentation aspect ratio: Widescreen (16:9).

  • Once accepted, please email a copy of your presentation to gesssnsw@gmail.com.

  • Please name your presentation file according to the format:

LastName_FirstName_ComputerPreference

(eg. Smith_Jane_Mac.pptx)

  • Bring your presentation file on a USB as a back-up.

  • Please see the session convener at the lectern in the break before your allocated seminar session to ensure that your presentation slides are ready to go.

GESSS-NSW 2019 will feature a diverse range of attendees from a variety of Earth science fields. Therefore, you should strive to make your work understandable and accessible to everyone at the conference.

Poster Guidelines

Posters should be in A0 portrait format and should be printed in advance for display on arrival. Posters will be attached using Velcro strips. We will provide the Velcro strips on the day.

Ideally, posters should be printed before you arrive in Sydney, as many printing services require about a week of notice to ensure they can be printed by the date of the event. We suggest that you try and identify a local printing service and consult their guidelines. If you would like to print in Sydney, however, two good options are Officeworks (Glebe and Alexandria), and Green Print Centre (UNSW)  which are located close to the University of New South Wales.
